Write about Bronchopulmonary Sequestration here. • Congenital abnormality in which an area is not connected to the bronchial tree (i.e. sequestered) and has an anomalous blood supply, usually from the aorta • If infection develops, often -> lung abscess to due lack of drainage to the bronchial tree • Surgical resection is required but pre-op bronchial arteriography is necessary to identify anomalous blood supply |
